Lesson 61 ( The first period )
一、Teaching aims and demands.
學(xué)習(xí)、鞏固“問(wèn)路”及其回答的日常交際用語(yǔ)，掌握表示地方名稱(chēng)的單詞、詞組。
二、 Organization. be omitted.
三、 Revision.
1. Have a dictation. （用幻燈顯示）
hospital, cinema, the People’s Park, college, shopping, centre bridge…
(put them into Chinese)
2. Review the sentence patterns of “Asking the way.” e.g.
a．A：Excuse me. Where’s the post office?
B：Walk along this street and take the first turning on the right.
You’ll see it in front of you.
A：Many thanks. / Thanks. / Thank you very much / …
B：Not at all. / It’s a pleasure. / You’re welcome. / …
b． A：Excuse me. Is there a cinema near here?
B：I’m sorry. I don’t know.
A：Thank you all the same.
A：Excuse me. How can I get to the East Hill College?
B：Sorry . I don’t know. You’d better ask a policeman.
A：Thank you all the same.
四、 Teaching of new lesson.
1．Listening.
Listen to the tape for Lesson 61. Read after it aloud.
2．Drills.
Ask students to practice “A”、 “B” using the phrases in L61 Part 3.
3．Language points. （用幻燈顯示）
1）…the way to the library? ……去圖書(shū)館的路。
to，介詞；在句中表示方向。英語(yǔ)中表示“去……（某處）的路”時(shí)，介詞必須用to而不能用of。又如：
Is it the way to the People’s Park? 這是去人民公園的路嗎？
2）Go on until you reach the end. 你走下去直盡頭。
until,“直到……”“到……為止”，在句中是連詞，引導(dǎo)（時(shí)間）狀語(yǔ)從句。又如：
I will wait until he comes back. 我要等到他回來(lái)。
He didn’t stop to rest until he finished the work. 他做完工作才休息。
3）You can’t miss it. 你不能走（錯(cuò)）過(guò)它。（意為“不要走過(guò)了頭。” ）
miss有許多詞意，在句中它意為“錯(cuò)過(guò)”。又如：
He missed the 6:30 train. 他沒(méi)趕上六點(diǎn)三十分的那輛火車(chē)。
五、Design for exercises.
1．Homework:
背誦課文Part 2；牢固掌握“問(wèn)路”、“回答別人問(wèn)路”等常見(jiàn)用語(yǔ)掌握表示地方名稱(chēng)的單詞、詞組。完成Wb L61 Exx. 1-2.
2．Additional exercises.
