　　導語：中國農歷正月初七(2月24日)是中國傳統習俗中的“人日”，即“人類的生日”，這在中國至少有兩千年以上的歷史。

　　大年初七，又叫做“人節”，是所有人類的生日，北方流行吃面條。因為傳說女媧初創世，在造出了雞狗豬羊牛馬等動物后，于第七天造出了人。

　　在東南亞的華人聚居區，這一天要撈魚生，以示步步高升發大財。

In some overseas Chinese communities in Southeast Asia, such as Malaysia and Singapore, it is also the day when tossed raw fish salad, yusheng, is eaten for continued wealth and prosperity.

　　對于中國的佛教徒來說，這一天也是忌葷的一天。因為要紀念因陀羅的誕辰，他是佛教中的護法神。

　　For many Chinese Buddhists, this is another day to avoid 'hun food', the seventh day commemorating the birth of Sakra, lord of the devas in Buddhist cosmology who is analogous to the Jade Emperor.
